Jesse has 2 teeth!!

Jesse Isaac is already 5 1/2 months and growing like a weed. Half of the summer is gone and Camila is anticipating her first year as an official Kindergartener. She picked out a My Little Pony Backpack and is ready to go. Little Jesse now has 2 teeth and you will see that he loves showing them off. He gets cuter by the day! These pictures in his bouncer were taken today!

Texas Summer heat? Where? We feel like we live on a tropical island...it's been raining almost every day. Yet, you won't find us complaining, we love it....i'll take this weather anyday, especially in the middle of summer!! Camila is enjoying her summer, she took her first real school bus ride to the Ft Worth Museum with her Summer Camp. She absolutely loved it....She's been in Vacation Bible Schools the past couple of weeks and then we took a little family vacation to San Antonio and Schlitterbahn Water Park. This week we'll just chill and do some kiddie parks around the immediate area, catch a 4th of July parade locally and just enjoy the family....Enjoy the recent pics....Jesse is almost 5 months old...Can you believe it?

The Latest

It's been quite sometime since we've updated this blogsite....however, enjoy the most recent pics. Jesse had his 4 month check up yesterday and he's at the half way mark of where he should be developmentally and physically. Doctor says he looks great and we think so too!! He's been cooing and smiling a lot and it just makes our hearts melt.

We celebrated Grandma's 60th birthday on Friday, June 1st here at our home with great food, fun and fellowship!!

Camila also is growing like a weed, she's out of school and enjoying her summer vacation so far. We just love and enjoy her energy (and as most of you know she has much of it)!! She had a great time at VBS this week....til next time...tootles..

Wow....I've been busy the last couple of weeks....I wonder why??? Prince Isaac has just turned 6 weeks yesterday and as most of you parents know and ask...Where does the time go? You know I was thinking the other day (scary thought)...someone had said to me...."Oh, you must be almost 40 and having a child, now?"...I know you're probably saying to yourself, "what a thing to say to someone", yet we have all had someone say something weird to us in our past right? So, wanting to say something else, I just politely responded, "Yes, it wasn't my decision to make"....I would have loved to live in a perfect world where you get married, have a couple of kid in my 20's and be chasing them around watching them grow and then still be in my 40's when they graduate.

I think so many of us have this preconception of how things "should be", what's the right timing, when things should actually occur in life, what we should be doing at this age in our life etc. I, too when I was married had planned to work on my career for a little while, have a couple of kids when I was still young and in my 20's, but these are choices that sometimes are completely out of our control and God so reminds of us of that. I think that this can be exciting, yet it can be so scary at times too....What lies ahead of us in our future? What will I be doing 10, 20 years from now? God so reminds us to be anxious for nothing, but everything by prayer, let your requests be known to him...He tells us that he knows what our hearts' desire is.

So, in retrospect as I think of my sweet acquaintance (I'll leave their name unmentioned to keep from defamation :), in asking this question, we continued on in our conversation and I continued to say how blessed we really feel knowing that God is the one who holds the universe in his hands and He made the decision to have Jesse Isaac be a part of our lives. I guess he wanted us to experience this...

We're headed into a new chapter of our lives and although I would have never thought this was the way it was supposed to be planned, it's exciting to know that we're not alone....there's always someone bigger than us that stays right by our side....How reassuring is that?

4 weeks old

Little Jesse Isaac just continues to grow as we head into week four with him. Camila has just finished a Spring Tournament with her Tae Kwon Do studion here in Dallas. It has been a true blessing having Mom here to help with the baby and all the other details that go along with having a newborn. She will be returning to Kansas City today. Thank you Mom so much. We love you.

Baby Isaac Week 3

Here's our sweet baby headed into Week 3. Camila is a doting big sister and we are still in awe of becoming parents and assumming the roles that are meant to be.
